News Stories Students learn to talk the talk To help prepare them for the five years of secondary school ahead, and the world of further education and employment beyond, Withernsea High's brand-new year 7 cohort have benefited from a workshop exploring the importance of effective communication. Bus Diversions As you may be aware, there is currently no access through Withernsea from the A1033 due to emergency roadworks at the south end of the town. Getting ready for the start of term Following a staff training day on Monday 2nd September, students return on a staggered start for the new academic year on the following dates (click the title to read more). Exam results pave the way for exciting futures Withernsea High School’s Year 11 cohort returned to school for the final time today [Thursday, 22nd August] to collect their GCSE and VTQ (Vocational and Technical Qualifications) results. Exam Results Day Results will be available to collect, in-person, at the Holderness Learning Centre (HLC) between 9.00am and 12.00 noon on Thursday, 22nd August. School Uniform Our school uniform suppliers, Steady School and Sportswear, have released a handbook that is designed to assist parents/carers in their uniform buying experience. Students get to grips with 3D printing and Computer Aided Design technology Following the purchase of four 3D printers, students spent the summer term getting to grips with the use of technology in their DT lessons. Student creativity takes off in ‘Bake Off’ challenge Year 10 Food students were recently given an opportunity to combine their culinary and creative skills in an end of term ‘Bake Off’ competition.
