An entrepreneur whose early failures helped to shape future successes in the world of business was the source of inspiration for a motivational speech delivered to students at Withernsea High School this week.
Staff and students at Withernsea High School marked this year’s Armistice day by joining millions around the country in observing a two-minute silence at 11.00am.
Last Friday, 8th November, Withernsea High School’s Year 7 football team took on New Waltham Academy in an entertaining game which went to penalties.
Earlier this week, Year 7 students were given an opportunity to explore the issue of underage drinking thanks to a thought-provoking drama performance aimed at preventing alcohol misuse and promoting healthy lifestyles.
A business networking event has provided an opportunity for Year 7 students to meet and engage with representatives from over 25 local employers and education providers.
As we approach this year’s Remembrance Day, we are pleased to offer an opportunity for a member of the Withernsea High School community to receive one of three handmade wreaths of remembrance.
As part of a continuing programme of activities designed to encourage and support safe and sustainable travel, young people who cycle to and from school in Withernsea have been given an opportunity to have their bikes serviced and checked for safety.
