  • As part of a continuing programme of incentives and rewards to encourage and celebrate strong attendance, a group of students recently enjoyed a visit to London, courtesy of Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart and Hull Trains. 
  • Withernsea High School’s Creative Arts faculty staged its third annual showcase last week, bringing together music, dance, drama and art as part of a shared celebration of talent and creativity.
  • Fifty members of Withernsea High School’s Year 9 cohort were among 2,500 students from across Hull and East Yorkshire who were recently given the opportunity to learn about life in higher education as part of an event at the University of Hull.
  • This Saturday, 28th June, around 20 WHS staff members will take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
  • Withernsea High School's Year 7 rugby team returned from the northern finals of the ‘Inspired by 9s’ rugby tournament last Friday with a well-deserved third-place finish.
  • Design Technology students are continuing to showcase their skills and creativity through a variety of projects as part of timetabled lessons and extra-curricular clubs.   
  • Students are continuing to expand their knowledge of tools, processes and components, both in and out of lessons, in the school’s Design Technology department.  
  • Year 10 students Kacey R and Harvey M were recently given an opportunity to tour Hull’s MKM Stadium. The visit was facilitated by Bay Learning Academy as part of an alternative learning experience. 
  • Following the success of previous events, the Creative Arts faculty is staging its third Summer Showcase at Middleton Hall, Hull University, on Tuesday 24th June.
