We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant, Level 2.  The successful candidate will work with individual and small groups of students, who may have difficulties in successfully accessing the mainstream curriculum. The role is part of the development of a separate provision, hosted within Withernsea High School, which is aimed at students who may be facing challenges in relation to behaviour, attitude to learning, attendance, or health, which mean that they are not succeeding in their learning.  Experience of or an interest in social and emotional literacy (ELSA) would be advantageous.

For the above post, you should be flexible, able to work independently, meet pre-determined deadlines and possess good verbal communications skills.

The successful applicant should be proficient in building positive relationships with students, together with a professional approach with other members of the Inclusion Team.  A friendly, outgoing, but firm personality is essential.

As part of the contracted hours, the successful applicant will be expected to work some break and lunchtime duties as required.
