Withernsea High School is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary school based in Withernsea, East Riding of Yorkshire, for students aged 11-18.

Located approximately 18 miles to the east of Hull, Withernsea is a seaside town in a rural, countryside location on the east coast. The school serves the population of southern Holderness and currently educates around 720 pupils.

The school is committed to raising standards and in its Ofsted 2016 Inspection it was found to be a Good school. Ofsted made the following observations:

• Overall, pupils treat each other and adults with respect and this leads to effective personal development, behaviour and welfare.

Description:

Withernsea High School is an 11-18 state-maintained school, located in a pleasant rural area just 40 minute drive from Hull. 

In 2015, the school moved into a £13.5 million pound new building with exceptional state-of-the-art learning facilities, including a fully equipped salon.

Under the direction of the Progress Leader for Art, Design & Technology we are seeking a skilled and experienced colleague to play a key role in teaching students in the vocational area of hairdressing, including regular assessment of the work and progress of students towards successful completion of the course. 

The focus of the role will be on all aspects of hairdressing.

Description:

We are looking for individuals who are interested in joining our team of Exam Invigilators in supporting the school to ensure exam regulations and standards are adhered to.

The role includes the preparation of the exam room; the distribution and collection of exam papers and monitoring the exam hall to ensure that no unfair means are used by any student in relation to the exams.

Previous experience is not required as full training will be provided.

Appointment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
