The members of Withernsea High School’s Creative Arts community are celebrating the success of their latest production – Disney’s High School Musical – On Stage!
Monday 6th March signalled the start of National Careers Week – a celebration of careers guidance in schools across the UK.
As part of Withernsea High's continuing drive to develop literacy and promote the benefits of reading across all years, award-winning children’s author Tom Palmer recently visited the school to share his knowledge and experience with around 300 students.
GCSE English students have been given an opportunity to consolidate their learning with an experience of live theatre that helped take the action of Macbeth from the page to the stage.
Students at Withernsea High School are being empowered to develop their own active travel plan for the school, with the support of national charities and East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
An opportunity for Withernsea High School students to recognise and celebrate the important contributions made by women and girls in Science was recently presented during an inspirational event held at Wilberforce College.
For the second year running, Withernsea High School was visited by an Outreach Officer from King’s College, Cambridge, to help introduce students to the world of higher education.
