Year 6 Transition

We are looking forward to welcoming Year 6 students to Withernsea High School on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th July for their Transition Days.

For students travelling to Withernsea High School from the surrounding villages, please click here to view/download the timetables (including pick up / drop off points) for the bus services that serve the school.

Information about Transition Days

• Students will travel on our regular school buses operated by EYMS or Ellie Rose. They will not need a bus pass for this travel. Students not on a bus should aim to be at the High School by 8.45am.

• On arrival at school, students should wait on the steps in front of the school’s Main Reception.

• Students should bring a packed lunch or £2.50 for a school lunch, plus other monies for refreshment at morning breaktime if they wish. Students entitled to a Free School Meal will be given a pass at lunchtime.

• If you feel that your child might benefit from more close supervision, please contact Mr Wardman on 01964 613133.

• On one of the days, students will need to bring with them an appropriate PE kit (shorts, t-shirt, trainers). The day is indicated on your Appointment Card.

• At the end of the school day, students will be escorted to the buses to ensure that they get on the correct one.

• If you are collecting your child, please note that the main school drive is closed to traffic at the end of the school day so parking on Hull Road would be more helpful.
