Well-earned retirement beckons for ‘calm and thoughtful’ Teaching Assistant

A popular member of Withernsea High School’s dedicated Learning Support team has been praised for her ‘calm and thoughtful’ presence that has provided reassurance and support to countless numbers of the school’s most vulnerable students.

As the penultimate half of the summer term draws to an end, so too does an impressive 28 years of service from respected Teaching Assistant Jackie Gladwin.

Vacancy: Cover Supervisor

We require a Cover Supervisor to supervise pupils in the absence of teaching staff. Previous experience of working with young people aged 11-16 is essential. Full training and support will be provided.

HPV Vaccinations

A reminder that the vaccination team will be in school again on Tuesday, 25th May.

On this day they will be: 

• giving HPV1 to all consented Year 8 pupils

• catching up on any consented Year 9 pupils that missed having HPV2, Meningitis ACWY, Diptheria, Tetanus and Polio.

If you haven't yet given consent and want your child to have their vaccines, then please contact the office on 01964 613133 and we can arrange for a consent form to be sent out to you.

Free sanitary products for students

We are pleased to be able to offer FREE sanitary products for all girls in school.

A range of products, including pads and tampons, are available from:

• First Aid

• Heads of Year

• PE department 

Products are also available to collect from subject offices in each part of the school. 

Please encourage your daughter to utilise these free supplies.
