Nǐ hǎo! Chinese primary pupils visit Withernsea High School

As part of a three week tour of the UK, a group of over 30 Chinese pupils recently visited Withernsea High School where they spent the day learning about life in a British school.

Restart a Heart Day 2019: Year 7 students learn life-saving skills

On Wednesday 16th October, Withernsea High School became one of 165 secondary schools across Yorkshire to take part in the sixth annual Restart a Heart Day – an event that aims to improve the UK’s cardiac arrest survival rate through the teaching of life-saving skills.

Geography students kept busy with fieldwork and flood work

It has been a busy few weeks for Withernsea High School’s Geography department.

Hot on the heels of introducing 3D mapping to primary pupils and their parents at our recent Year 5 and 6 Open Evening, the team have also been busy conducting fieldwork with Year 11 and studying flood risks with Year 8.

Year 10 students explore careers in healthcare

On Thursday 10th October, twenty five Year 10 students took part in the fourth annual Hull and East Riding Health Expo which this year was held at Hull’s DoubleTree Hilton Hotel. 

The event showcased the latest innovations in healthcare in a collaborative effort between local organisations including the East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), Hull CCG, City Health Care Partnership, Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust and Hull University Teaching Hospitals Trust.
