Staff and students team up with university researchers on coastal erosion project

Withernsea High School has teamed up with researchers at the University of Hull for an exciting and creative project called INSECURE.

The project aims to explore the relationship between local people and the dynamic coast by using first-hand stories from Withernsea residents.

Vacancy: Teaching Assistant (Level 1)

Withernsea High School seeks to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work with individual students who may have learning, physical, behavioural or emotional difficulties, as well as with small groups within the classroom under the guidance of the classroom teacher.

GCSE Pod - Letter to parents/carers

We are delighted to introduce you to a new school resource ‘GCSEPod’, an award-winning digital content and revision provider.

On return in September we intend to use this platform to complement our face-to-face teaching. However, the real benefit of this resource is that students can use it support their own learning and we would ask that you encourage your child to make use of this amazing resource independently.

End of an era as Withernsea High School bids farewell to its longest-serving member of staff

Yesterday, Friday 17th July, marked the official end of the academic year. Under normal circumstances, end of term celebrations would have been in full swing and schools around the country would have been buzzing with excitement for the summer ahead.

However, the end of this term not only marked the end of what has undoubtedly been one of the most challenging and unusual years in the history of Withernsea High School, it also brought with it an understated end to an impressive 36 year association with the school for one of its most familiar and well-respected faces.

Deputy Headteacher, Bob Wardman, has taken early retirement from a career entirely dedicated to the Withernsea High School community.
