Withernsea High School students obtain fantastic A-Level results

Year 13 students were back in school today to collect their A-Level results after what has been an unsettling and unprecedented year.

The results received by the students were recognition of the commitment shown to their chosen subjects and the grades awarded have allowed all those that had applied to university to secure their place.

Zoology, Biomedical Science, Contemporary Music and Mathematics are just some of the many varied courses that Withernsea High School’s Year 13 cohort will go on to study in higher education settings around the country.

Headteacher Mark Crofts commented: ‘The celebrations that will follow today’s results are absolutely deserved and we are extremely proud of what each of our Year 13 students has achieved. I have no doubt they will continue to succeed on the range of courses and training opportunities they have chosen.

As individuals, it has been a pleasure to see them develop throughout their time at Withernsea High School and, although this year has not been the end that anyone would have wished, their results are really pleasing and there are some amazing successes.

They should be very proud of what they have achieved. Congratulations to all of them and we look forward to hearing all about their next exciting chapter.'

Mr Crofts continued: 'Parents and carers have undoubtedly played a part in the results students are celebrating today and I would like to thank them for the support they have shown the school and their child over the last seven years.

As always, teachers of these students have also worked incredibly hard and I would like to thank them for their continued commitment to ensuring our young people have the best opportunities to succeed.'
