Withernsea High School steps up to the challenge of supplying PPE

The national shortage of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) has been a much-publicised aspect of the Covid-19 pandemic.

With overwhelming demand for such equipment both globally and nationally, there have been many stories of individuals, businesses and schools stepping up to help make more of these essential resources for use in their local communities.

Withernsea High School has become the latest organisation to contribute to these efforts, with the creation of over 300 visors in just two days.

Free School Meals - Update 20/04/2020

Due to high demand nationally, the 'Wonde' Free School Meal vouchers have taken longer than anticipated to process. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding.

Backdated 'Wonde' vouchers for the Easter Holidays are now being processed and will be sent out shortly.

From today, Monday 20th April, Withernsea High School will be using a central Free School Meal voucher scheme managed by the Department for Education (DfE).

This will provide eligible parents/carers with a voucher for £15 per week while schools remain closed during the Covid-19 situation.

Please click here to view more about the launch of this new system on the .gov website.

Or please click here to view/download an information pack, including FAQs, about the new scheme.
