My Forever

Last Friday, 13th October, Leeds-based band ‘My Forever’ visited Withernsea High School to deliver a message about the effects of cyber bullying and the importance of online safety.

The band performed a series of engaging presentations to students aimed at empowering young people to make the right choices by using the internet safely and responsibly. Lead singer Dave Ingham also drew from personal experience to discuss the issue of cyber bullying, explaining how it made him feel, how he reacted to it and where he went for help and support.

The presentations were delivered to all students of the school and were interspersed with live music from the band who performed a mixture of original material and popular covers – all of which were enthusiastically received by their audience (see the video below!).

Media Coordinator Tim Nuttall commented: ‘It was a pleasure to welcome My Forever to the school and I know our students benefited greatly from the important messages that they delivered, all of which reinforce the on-going work we do to educate young people on the importance of e-safety.'
