The person collecting will need photo identification. Any results which are not collected on the day will be held at the school for future collection.

A-Level results open up fantastic opportunities for hard-working students of Withernsea High School

On Thursday 15th August, Year 13 students were joined by staff and parents at Withernsea High School to collect their A-level results.

For many students, their results were confirmation of the strong commitment to learning shown over the last two years – a commitment that has already led some into apprenticeships, further training and onto degree courses. For those with conditional offers from university the long wait was over, the tension was released, and they were able to celebrate securing places.

Cashless Catering is a secure system which will enable our staff and students to pay for their food quickly and conveniently by means of a PIN or Biometrics. Through the removal of cash from our dining room, we aim to increase the speed of our service whilst reducing queuing times to improve the overall school dining experience.

Cashless Catering will be complemented by the introduction of ParentPay, a system which will allow parents/carers to make payments for their child’s school meals online. ParentPay is a quick, convenient and above all secure system which affords parents/carers full control of their finances, allowing them to monitor their child’s spending.

Top-ups for the Cashless Catering system will be facilitated online through ParentPay or in school at a remuneration terminal which will accept notes and all coins, except 1p and 2p denominations.

Accessible through our website and the MyEd school app, we are confident that ParentPay will be a hugely beneficial resource for the whole school community. In time, we plan to evolve its use to incorporate payments towards school trips.

A parent information pack containing FAQ’s, plus more detailed information about Cashless Catering, will be posted out later this week. Further information regarding ParentPay will be available on our website after half term.

In addition, we plan on holding a parents’ evening where representatives from Nationwide Retail Systems Ltd, our Cashless Catering provider, and school staff who are leading the project will be on hand to demonstrate the system and answer any questions you may have.

The parents’ evening will take place on Thursday 22nd June from 5.00pm. This will coincide with the already planned Year 7 Parents’ Consultation Evening. Anyone wishing to attend the Cashless Catering evening should complete the expression of interest slip which will accompany the letter in the information pack.

Please ensure all expressions of interest are returned to school by no later than Monday 19th June.

Thank you.
