Title: Teacher of Science

Description:

We are seeking to appoint a highly committed and able Teacher of Science to join our good and improving school from September 2018. Within the structure of a highly successful and supportive faculty you will help build the knowledge and understanding, and develop the skills of, our next generation of young people. 

Withernsea High School is a state maintained 11-18 school located in a pleasant rural area just 20 minutes from Hull. In 2016 we moved into a £13 million state of the art building alongside a refurbishment of the traditional, spacious heart of our old school. All teachers have their own classrooms and science teachers have their own laboratories. 

If you are passionate about teaching and learning, and are determined to help young people build solid foundations for their future, then this might be the opportunity you are looking for. 

The role is suitable both for experienced colleagues and those who are new to the profession. An ability to teach some maths may be advantageous.

Position: Learning Mentor - Pupil Premium

Hours: 34 hours per week, Monday to Friday (term time only)

Description:

Withernsea High Schools’ ethos is based on high aspirations, expectations and achievements for all. We exist to provide high quality teaching and learning experiences in a supportive and caring environment situated at the heart of our local community.

From September 2018 we seek to appoint a Learning Mentor for English. This role is funded through the Pupil Premium until 31st August 2019.

The role is to lead additional provision for Pupil Premium and underachieving students in KS3 and 4. The post holder has full responsibility for the co-ordination of intervention programmes within English, whilst also liaising with other subjects to ensure intervention provision is comprehensive and purposeful across the curriculum.

Additionally the post holder will plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate English intervention, working with identified students who are underperforming in the subject.

Catering Assistant / Van Driver

Hours: Part time. 15 Hours per week. Monday to Friday. Term time only.

Description:

Withernsea High School is located in the pleasant, rural seaside town of Withernsea and serves the population of the town and surrounding villages.  The school is committed to raising standards.

The school requires a Temporary Catering Assistant/Van Driver to work 15 hours per week, 11.15am to 2.15pm, Monday to Friday term time only.

The successful candidates will be well motivated, punctual and cheerful. 

Meals are transported to and from Withernsea Primary School, therefore a clean driving licence is essential.  As there will be a certain amount of lifting required the successful candidate should be physically fit.  A L2 food hygiene certificate would also be desirable.
