Music department hits all the right notes

Young musicians from across the school have been kept busy over the past couple of weeks with a number of activities and events organised by the school's Music department.

From involvement in a large-scale choir event at Bridlington Spa to working with a professional orchestra and hosting their own showcase event in school, students have benefited from a wide range of opportunities and experiences.

Students' work showcased at local art festival

The Holderness Art Show has been a favourite feature of the local calendar for many years, with a variety of local art groups, individuals, school groups and indeed professional artists exhibiting work during the dedicated annual event.

It has been a busy few weeks for the staff and students of Withernsea High School’s Sport Department, with a large variety of activities taking place both in and out of school.

Year 10 Geography Fieldwork

GCSE Geography students recently swapped the comfort of their classrooms for Withernsea's bracing sea front as they made their way to the beach to conduct their GCSE fieldwork.

Year 12 Mock Results


Last week, students in Year 12 received the results of their recent mock exams.

Sat towards the end of their first year in Sixth Form, the mock exams are a crucial tool for checking the progress of Year 12 students by allowing them to evaluate what has gone well and where there is need for improvement and extra study.
