British Science Week 2017

British Science Week is an annual ten-day event which celebrates Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) in schools across the country.

This year’s event took place between Friday 10th and Sunday 19th March with students from Withernsea High School being given the opportunity to engage in a number of demonstrations and activities under the chosen theme of Hull and the City of Culture.

Big Bang Fair 2017

Last Friday, thirteen of our Year 9 students were given the opportunity to showcase their computer programming skills at the Big Bang Fair – the UK’s largest celebration of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).

Year 11 expressions of interest for Sixth Form

Year 11 students have today had an assembly regarding joining our Sixth Form in September where they received their predicted grades, Average Point Score (APS) and an application form to register their interest.

The purpose of the assembly was to inform them of the entry requirements and the study pathways available to them.
