Last night (Wednesday 8th February), two teams of our students competed against teams from other local schools in a Dodgeball Tournament held at Longcroft School in Beverley.
Although both teams performed extremely well against some stiff competition, the boys and girls teams unfortunately didn’t make it through to the next round, finishing third and fourth respectively.
A total of thirteen students took part in the tournament having secured their places from strong performances displayed in lessons and during an inter-house dodgeball tournament held in school over a number of lunchtimes.
Supervising and encouraging the students throughout both tournaments were their teachers, Mrs Jesney and Mr Beattie who commented: ‘We are extremely proud of how the students behaved and equipped themselves for the competition and we were particularly pleased with the number of year 7 students who took part. After their performances this year, we are extremely hopeful of better success next year.’
Well done to: Bradley Walsh, Charlie Ashwell, Kurt Hauber, Lloyd Ainley, Ellis Hall, Billy Fincham, Daniel Annis, Daisy Clubley, Rosie Littlewood, Abigail Wilbraham, Kerrie Dearing, Chloe Davidson and Caitlin Smith.
