We are saddened to hear of the recent death of Ross Pemble, a former staff member at Withernsea High School, who passed away after a long and brave fight against illness.

Year 11 student flying high after successful residential week at RAF Leeming

As reported on our website back in July, one of our Year 10 students was celebrating after successfully gaining a place on a week-long, girls-only residential engineering course at RAF Leeming.

The course, which ran from the 1st to the 5th of August, aimed to encourage its participants to take part in a range of activities geared towards dispelling the myth that only boys are considered for engineering jobs. 

Now back in Year 11 to finish her final year of compulsory education at Withernsea High School, Alex Ogilvie shares her experience of the week:
