Hair and Beauty students at Withernsea High School are appealing for models to help put their learning in to practice during a special work experience week.
The week, which runs from Monday 27th June to Saturday 2nd July inclusive, is designed to provide students with an authentic experience of all that is entailed in the daily workings of a professional Salon.
For the models it offers a chance to receive heavily discounted treatments whilst being safe in the knowledge that the trainees will be supervised by trained professionals throughout their treatments.
The experience of dealing with members of the public on a larger scale is imperative in helping students improve their communication skills, giving them the chance to gain confidence to further prepare them for the next part of their journey in to work.
Claire Turnbull, Tutor of Hair and Beauty, commented: “The students have worked extremely hard all year to perfect their skills. Work experience week is a great opportunity for them to show off these skills and for members of the public to see how talented, committed and professional our students are.”
Both male and female models are invited to take part. For bookings and further information please call Claire Turnbull direct at the Salon on 01964 611544. Alternatively you can email firstname.lastname@example.org
