“The Show Must Go On!” – Students to perform at Bridlington Spa Theatre

“The Show Must Go On!” is the culmination of months of hard work from the school’s year 11 dancers, who will stage their dance extravaganza at Bridlington Spa Theatre on Thursday 24th March.

The show features over 100 students from across all year groups of the school and promises to be an unmissable night of entertainment.

Dance teacher Helen Hartley commented: “The students have all worked extremely hard choreographing and rehearsing in preparation for the event. They have shown great commitment and determination in creating a show that everyone will remember and we look forward to what promises to be a hugely successful evening.”

Year 11 dance student Ashleigh Morley said: “A lot of hard work has gone in to creating this show and we are all really excited and grateful to be given the opportunity to perform in a professional theatre.”

Fellow student Hannah Mowforth added: “It’s going to be fantastic! We’re really looking forward to it and we hope the show will be a sell-out. Please come and support us!”

Tickets for the show are £6 each and are on-sale now from the High School. To reserve yours, please contact Helen Hartley at the school on 01964 613133 or via email at hartleyh@wscampus.net

In preparation for the show, GCSE and A-Level dance students from years 10 - 13 recently took part in a commercial / urban dance workshop led by freelance dancer David Danville. The workshop allowed students to develop their skills in these styles whilst giving them an insight in to this area of dance from a professional choreographer. The students thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and all gained confidence through improving their performance skills in readiness for the show.
