Last Friday, all of year 7 took part in a special day as part of the PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) programme. The theme of the day was ‘Addiction: Smoking, Alcohol and Drugs.”
In a busy day, students reflected on the causes and effects of addiction, explored the risks around legal highs, cannabis and smoking. They were also involved in a debate about whether or not alcohol should be legal, which culminated in preparing a presentation.
Head of subject Mrs Andrea Monaghan commented: "It was a real pleasure to see the students engaging in the activities of the day with such enthusiasm and demonstrating really mature and thoughtful attitudes."
