As part of our on-going work in raising awareness of the dangers of substance misuse, students in years 8 and 9 have engaged in an interactive drama performance about the risks of legal highs.
Staged in school yesterday, "Wired" is a professional theatre production that asks its audience to explore how young people might become involved in using substances. Students were given the opportunity to change the ending of the play which the actors then improvised.
Over 220 students watched the performance and it was clear by their enthusiastic applause that they had been fully engaged in experience.
On Friday, our year 7 cohort will be off-timetable for the day to engage in workshops concerning the dangers of alcohol, tobacco and drugs.
Should any of our school community have any concerns or would like further information please do not hesitate in contacting Julie Hare, Child Protection Coordinator on 01964 611530. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
