We are the champions!

A group of students from Withernsea High School have done themselves and the school proud by becoming the Dodgeball Champions of the Humber School Games.

The seven member team of year 7 and 8 girls beat off stiff competition from 40 other schools in the Humber region to win the championship which took place on Wednesday 23rd March.

Their recent victory followed their hugely successful debut at the East Riding Dodgeball Tournament back in February where they took first place and became East Riding champions.

The girls’ coach, Miss Rebecca Tibble, commented: “I believe that talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships. I have never been so proud of my team. It was a solid game plan and they did everything I could have asked of them”

Congratulations to: Indigo Metcalf, Kazia Walby, Gabby Clarke, Rosie Littlewood, Angel Johns, Leah Garbutt and Caitlin Smith
